Some Basics to Know on Relationship Coaching
By far and large, relationship coaching is an aspect of coaching that covers coaching on both business and personal relationships. One thing that should be clear and shouldn’t be mistaken is the fact that even though relationship coaching has been quite effectively used by many people to resolve issues that they may have had with their relationships, it is not supposed to be taken for a replacement for the need for therapy that is to given by a trained and licensed clinician for cases such as those of mental disorders, emotional and even psychological disorders. Many are always prompted to seek the services of a relationship coach when they happen to be struggling with their relationships and as a matter of fact relationship coaching are nothing but positive results-oriented practices that are basically geared to help to help functional people attain their personal and relationship targets. Even though relationship coaches are indeed experts in their fields of practice, this does not mean that they will give advice or otherwise any professional opinion, but to facilitate success for their clients.
The term “relationship coach” has been widely applied for many years a number of professionals such as Psychotherapists, Social workers, Marriage and Family therapists, Psychologists and the like professionals in the entrepreneurial para-professions. However, let us take a look at the Relationship coaching areas of expertise.
The first area of specialty we will narrow on to is that of Couples coaching for the sake of this particular post. Couples come of differing sorts and as a fact couples are all not alike. As broad as the couples categories can be, they can be narrowed down to some four main groups and these are: the Dating couples, the Pre-committed couples, the Pre-marital couples and the Committed couples. The Dating couples category is one in which belongs the couples that have the on-going fun and recreational kind of relationship between them. Dating couples will seek the attention of a relationship coach when either one or both of them has the interest of taking their relationship to the next level. The next category we will take a look at of the couples is that which is referred to as the Pre-committed couples. These are the kinds of couples who have both decided to stop seeing others and as such have tied to be a restricted couple. This stage is often marked with so much cohabitation despite the fact that at this particular stage, the couple ideally haven’t made any sort of long term commitments anyway.
